NAEP Technical DocumentationCoefficients of linear transformations of the content-dimension scales from the calibrating scale units to the units of the reporting scale, reading vocabulary national assessment: 2009
Grade Scale1 A B
1 The reading vocabulary scale was first operational in 2009. The reporting scale was therefore fixed  to have a mean of 250 and a standard deviation of 50. In that year a cross-grade scaling approach was used whereby all three grades were scaled together in a single calibration. The final 2009 results were transformed to the fixed reporting scale using these transformation constants.
NOTE: Single overall scale.
