NAEP Technical DocumentationStudent Booklets for the 2007 Writing Assessment

For the 2007 assessment, test developers chose 17 blocks from the previous writing assessment at both grades 8 and 12. In addition, they created three new blocks at both grades. Three blocks each for grades 8 and 12 were released from the NAEP 2007 writing assessment and are available to the public via the NAEP Questions Tool. Released blocks of questions are not used in later assessments.
