NAEP Technical DocumentationAccommodations Booklets for the 2002 Assessment

In 2002, read aloud and large-print booklets were available for students who were identified by school officials as needing these accommodations. Sixteen grade 4 and grade 8 writing booklets were designated as read aloud accommodation booklets. One subject booklet type from grade 4 and 8 was identified for use as a large-print book.

Both booklet types were given unique identification bar code numbers separate from the booklets used for regular testing. They were then packaged and shipped to NAEP assessment administrators.
