In the NAEP 2014 assessment, 113 types of scannable student booklets were designed. For the first time, there were no printed questionnaires, worksheets, or tracking forms. The printing of these documents was replaced by the data collection staff's electronic preassessment visit system.
More than 207,000 booklets were printed, totaling over 9.5 million pages.
