NAEP Technical DocumentationWeighted Public School Participation

For fourth- and eighth-grade public schools, this table presents weighted counts and response rates for eligible schools, nonresponding and responding originally sampled schools. The weight equaled the frame enrollment divided by the school probability of selection. The weighted aggregations for the eligible schools for each jurisdiction are estimates of the total population of students in the grade within each jurisdiction. Note that there are no weighted aggregations for twelfth grade, since no weights were computed for the twelfth grade in 2003.
