The following table shows school response rates for the 2008 arts assessment by school type (public, private Catholic, and other non-Catholic private) for eighth grade. Results are shown before the substitute schools were recruited for originally sampled nonrespondents. The table includes rounded unweighted counts and weighted percentages using the school base weight multiplied by the estimated eighth-grade enrollment. Because the response rate for private schools was below the NCES statistical standards threshold of 85 percent (the base weighted response weight), a nonresponse bias analysis report (218KB PDF) was prepared.
