The target population for the 2012 economics public school assessment included all students who were enrolled in twelfth grade in public schools in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The sample frame also included Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) schools and Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS).
