Trained Dance Administrators During the arts field test in 1995, NAEP experimented with delivering dance performance tasks to students with live administration and with videotaped administration. Because performance assessment is very expensive, it was important to experiment with ways of cutting costs, and videotaped administration was one such way. However, based on the superior performances of students who were given live administrations, compared to that of students given videotaped administration, NAEP decided to use only live administration for dance performance assessment. Dancers and dance educators received special training to administer NAEP dance tasks. BACK TO: A Dance Performing Task |
