Scoring Guide4 - EXTENSIVE The student accurately and intelligently discusses aspects of spatial organization and other visual features that communicate the intended idea or experience. [Sample Response] 3 - ESSENTIAL The student discusses one or more aspects of composition and visual features in relation to the idea. The discussion is general and may contain some inaccuracies. [Sample Response] 2 - PARTIAL The student mentions an idea or experience, and makes vague reference to some aspects of composition or visual features. [Sample Response] 1 - UNACCEPTABLE The student fails to describe how the work communicates an idea or experience. Simply stating an idea in the first part of the question is unacceptable. NOTE: Responses that do not plausibly reflect the work should receive a score of 1. Responses that inaccurately describe the work in part cannot get a score higher than 3.
