The replicate weights adjusted for student nonresponse were trimmed using the trimming factor that was computed for the school base weight. Given TRIM_sk as the trimming factor for the student k in school s (see Student Trimming Factors), the replicate r weights adjusted for student nonresponse were trimmed as

T_WGT_sk(r) = STUWGT_sk(r)  ×  STNRADJ_d(r)  ×  TRIM_sk

where

• STUWGT_sk(r) is the student replicate base weight (see Student Replicate Base Weights);

• STNRADJ_d(r) is the replicate r student nonresponse adjustment in student nonresponse cell d (see Student Replicate Nonresponse Adjustments); and

• T_WGT_sk (r) represents the trimmed student replicate weight.
