The replicate weights adjusted for student nonresponse were trimmed using the trimming factor that was computed for the school base weight. Given TRIMsk as the trimming factor for the student k in school s (see Student Trimming Factors), the replicate r weights adjusted for student nonresponse were trimmed as
T_WGTsk(r) = STUWGTsk(r) × STNRADJd(r) × TRIMsk
where
STUWGTsk(r) is the student replicate base weight (see Student Replicate Base Weights);
STNRADJd(r) is the replicate r student nonresponse adjustment in student nonresponse cell d (see Student Replicate Nonresponse Adjustments); and
T_WGTsk (r) represents the trimmed student replicate weight.
